LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED

When they say your wedding day is one of the best days of your life, it’s honestly true. With today’s pandemic that we’re living in, many couples wedding plans are being changed or cancelled. I’ve had conversations with a handful of brides and grooms who are making these difficult decisions, and I find myself in awe of the couples who have decided to keep their wedding date and get hitched anyways. Therefore, I’ve decided to start a new “spotlight” series on these incredible couples, because 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝.

Love is NOT Cancelled: Rachel & Michael

Rachel and I go way back – from Girl Scouts, to Field Hockey camp to visiting one another in college. She’s always been that friend who’s down to have a good time and will always keep it interesting. So, when she told me she met Mike, was moving in with him, was expecting a baby…

Love is NOT Cancelled: Kelley & Brendan

I’m so excited to feature this wedding, because (a) I got to attend and be a part of this beautiful celebration and (b) it’s my sister-in-law’s wedding! While it wasn’t exactly what they had initially pictured for their big day, it truly was so beautiful and the love that filled the church and reception was…

Love is NOT Cancelled: Izzy & JT

Izzy and I met at Oneonta State where we shared many laughs and memories during our good ol’ college days. I’ve been following her wedding journey since she announced she got engaged. She even had a fun bachelorette party in Austin, Texas! Then COVID-19 hit and her plans went from concrete to up in the…

Love is NOT Cancelled: Emma & Gary

We’ve all participated in video conferencing during this pandemic to keep in touch and stay close with friends and family. One trend has been to host and attend weddings that were not getting postponed or pushed back. Why wait for marriage when you can still have your close friends and family in attendance, even if…

Love is NOT Cancelled: Jill & Tommy

My dear friend Jill and her fiancé Tommy were scheduled to have the most beautiful NYC Central Park wedding in May, until COVID-19 hit. My BFF Sam is one of her Maids of Honor (she has three!), so I’ve been up to date on all of her fun planning and events from the beginning. Once…

Love is NOT Cancelled: Amy & Mike

Amy and I met in college at SUNY Oneonta (go Red Dragons!) and shared many laughs and drinks together at the baseball house, where we frequented. To be fair, we were both dating boys on the team. She’s someone who is always down to have a good time but is not over the top about…

Love is NOT Cancelled: Kat & Ryan

I met Kat and Ryan (also known as Willy) in 2016 when I was visiting Lila and my cousin in Charleston, SC. At the time, everyone lived in this big apartment complex together where they could hang out and have fun on the regular. We all had a lot of fun together that week. Flash…

Love is NOT Cancelled: Reflecting On My Wedding

When they say that your wedding day is one of the best days of your life, it’s true. You prepare months and/or years for one day, and before you know it, it’s over. Being surrounded by your closest friends and family for an intimate, raw and real moment is a feeling you can’t explain until…
